About the Solair Chair

The solair chair was conceived by italian designers Fabio Fabiano and Michelange Panzini and went into production in 1972 - a byproduct of Montreal’s bustling design scene after Expo 67.

The chair became an iconic fixture of north american roadside motels and pools of the period and is now hailed as a classic and an icon of Canadian design.  Perfectly suited to poolside use as the circular plastic seat with its cut out slots allows for dripping bathing suits to dry. Minimal, comfortable and cool.
